Side Taxi from Antalya Airport — Private Car, Fixed Fare, Straight to Your Hotel

The last minutes of the ride to Side show the town’s double life. Modern hotels and apartment blocks line the approach road, and then, where the peninsula begins, the Roman ruins take over: the old city gate, the great theatre, columns standing along an ancient street. At this point the car has covered 65 km from the terminal, after about 60 minutes on the road.

Further on, at the very tip beside the small harbour, rise the columns of the Temple of Apollo, where people gather to watch the sun go down. The town museum occupies a former Roman bath building, and sandy beaches stretch away from the peninsula on both sides.

Drop-off at the edge of Side old town

The old town that fills the peninsula is a pedestrian area. Vehicles stop at its edge, so if your hotel or guesthouse is inside, the final stretch is on foot. The driver parks as near as is permitted and walks in with you, carrying or wheeling the cases. Give us the exact name of the guesthouse and, if you can, a location pin; before the trip we explain how arrival works for that address.

Hotels on the approach road, along the beaches west and east of the peninsula and in the newer part of town are reached directly at their entrance.

A vehicle that suits the old town and your luggage

Since the last part may be a walk, travelling light helps here more than anywhere else on the coast. A couple with two suitcases fits comfortably in a saloon car, which takes up to three passengers. Families of four to six choose the Mercedes Vito, with room for six cases. Mention pushchairs, golf bags or a wheelchair when you book. Seats for babies, toddlers and older children are fitted on request and charged in addition to the transfer price.

Leaving Side for the airport

When you pick a departure time, allow for the drive of about an hour; the office will suggest a time based on your flight. Guests staying inside the old town are collected at an agreed point at its edge rather than at the door, so we settle that meeting point beforehand. Trips from Side to the Manavgat waterfall, Manavgat town or another hotel nearby can be booked as separate rides.

Antalya airport to Side transfer: how the price works

The fare is for the vehicle and is agreed in writing before you fly. It does not grow because the flight was late, because you landed in the middle of the night or because the driver had to wait. It changes only if the booking changes: more passengers, a bigger vehicle, extra child seats.

Booking your ride to Side

To book, write with the flight and its arrival time, the hotel or guesthouse you have reserved and the number of people coming. The driver will be at Welcome desk No:36 Hana Travel in the arrivals hall, your name on a board. Payment comes after arrival, usually in cash to the driver; card details are never requested in advance.
